Frequently Asked Questions What is a Thylus and why should I buy one? A Thylus is a thumb stylus. If you own a handheld PDA (personal digital assistant) with a touch-screen, you have probably felt the frustration of constantly pulling out and putting away the typical stylus. You have also realized that you can do nothing else while using the stylus with the PDA touch-screen because it requires two hands, one to hold the stylus and one to hold the PDA. The Thylus allows the user of a handheld PDA with a touch-screen to use the thumb for data entry. Most thumbs are wide and data entry is therefore clumsy. But the Thylus takes the thumb and turns it into a stylus with a pinpoint for data entry. The Thylus also comes with its own docking station for ease of use and the convenience of always having a place for the Thylus that comes with you. The intentional compact size of the Thylus allows the user to keep the Thylus on his hand for extended periods and use it time and again without putting it in the docking station. Finally, the unique design of the Thylus beaded ring allows the user to adjust the size of the Thylus and keeps the very tip of the thumb free for pushing buttons. What is the price? Price is $6.00 each plus $2.00 shipping (includes up to 3). For 3 or more Thyluses, shipping is $0.50 each after the first three. What kind of applications can a Thylus be used?
Whether you are a busy professional with a Palm Pilot®, a gamer
with a Nintendo DS or DS Lite®, or you have a GPS in your car
with a touch-screen, the Thylus is your solution to problems
that are inherent in using a traditional pen stylus for data
entry. (Current product does not support use with Iphone or Ipod) I am having a hard time getting used to the Thylus, especially when I am trying to tap a really small space. Is there anything I can do to improve my accuracy? First, the Thylus will take a while to get used to. Just like when you were a kid and first began using a pencil or a pen, it will take you time to get used to tapping with the Thylus. The biggest drawback to the Thylus is that it is difficult to see the tip. But, with practice, you should get used to it. Also, you can simply hold your device at a slight angle so that you can see the tip and the touchscreen target. This should allow you to hit any space with relative ease. What if I want to use the Thylus for an application that you haven’t listed? If there is an application that you want to try out the Thylus, feel free. We would love to hear your feedback. My Thylus fit great at first but now it feels a little big. Can I adjust it? Yes. The Thylus is made with an adjustable beaded ring. With a fingernail or similar thin instrument (a butter knife or letter opener), gently pry the two plastic discs apart. The rubber beaded ring should fall out very easily. Next, with a pair of scissors, cut one beaded ring off. Make sure that you cut the line between the beads as well and leave a bead at the end of the rubber ring. Finally, follow the instructions for fastening the ring between the two discs and voila, you have adjusted your thylus. Can I return my Thylus? If you buy the Thylus from this website and it is in good working shape when you get it, we are very reluctant to take it back. First, after you pay shipping and handling, again, it may not make sense, given the price of the product. Also, we cannot resell the product. Given that the product is under $10, does it really make sense to send it back? For exceptional circumstances, we will take a return if requested within 30 days of purchase in writing. AFTER 30 DAYS, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS no matter what the circumstances are.
