Assembly
Instructions:
The Thylus makes use of patented
technology to allow small adjustments to the size of the rubber
ring to accommodate multiple users with different sized thumbs
and fingers. After adjustment, the rubber bead ring fits
between the two plastic discs which, when fastened, utilize the
bead to hold the rubber ring in place.
ADJUSTING
THE RUBBER BEAD RING:
- Hold one end of the rubber
bead ring with between your index finger and the inside of the
thumb on your dominant hand.
(Note: it’s a good idea to start at the area of your thumb
with the widest diameter. After adjustment, you can always
make the ring shorter, never longer)
-
Wrap the ring
around your thumb to meet together at your index finger.
-
Mark the bead
in the middle of the rubber ring which is closest to the area
where the two meet.
-
Cut the
rubber bead ring at this bead, being careful to cut so that a
bead remains at each end of the rubber ring.
FITTING THE RUBBER RING INTO THE
THYLUS:
- Place the plastic discs
together. Line up the “male” and “female” connections of the
discs. Do not squeeze the two plastic discs together!!
-
The two pieces should toggle back and
forth. Place one end of the adjusted rubber bead ring
between the two discs and pinch the disc together to hold the
rubber ring. The two beads at the end should fit snugly into
the space created for the two beads where the discs fit
together.
-
While pinching the two discs together over one end of the
rubber bead ring, wrap the other end to the opposite side.
Place the other end of the adjusted rubber bead ring between
the two discs. The two beads at the end should fit snugly
into the space created for the two beads where the discs fit
together. Make sure the beads line up on both sides
-
Snap the plastic discs together while insuring that the bead
at each end of the rubber ring fits snugly between into the
space created between the two discs. Note: if the two
plastic pieces down snap together snugly, adjust the beads
so that they line up with the space for the beads to fit
between the discs.
ADJUSTING
THE THYLUS:
The Thylus is
made with an adjustable beaded ring. Over time, as the Thylus
is used, the rubber beaded ring will stretch, potentially
causing it to become loose.
-
With a
fingernail or similar thin instrument (a butter knife or
letter opener), gently pry the two plastic discs apart. The
rubber beaded ring should fall out very easily.
-
Next, with a
pair of scissors, cut one beaded ring off. Make sure that
you cut the line between the beads as well and leave a bead at
the end of the rubber ring.
-
Place the two
discs together by lining up the holes with the two plugs. Be
careful not to press them firmly together yet. Re-attach one
side of the beaded ring into the space provided between the
two discs and squeeze that side together.
-
Reach the
other side of the beaded ring around to the other side and
place it into the other space provided between the two discs.
-
Squeeze the
two discs together and the Thylus should snap firmly in
place. If the fit is not firm, you probably need to adjust
the beaded ring to get it to fit snugly into the space
provided.

WARNING: THE
THYLUS IS NOT MEANT TO BE USED WHILE DRIVING AN AUTOMOBILE.
